Exterior repairs and updates
Together with the homeowners, our team determined the following repairs were needed:
- Wood rot repairs in the soffit and fascia
- Aluminum and vinyl boxing installation to extend the wood's lifespan
- Replace gutters
The results look great and are sure to make this forever home a comfortable one to live in for a long time.

Repairing wood rot in the soffit and fascia
Cracks in the soffit at various places revealed wood rot that our team needed to take care of. Because of the location of the damage, we started by taking down the gutters, which were also in need of replacement.
When all old and damaged wood was removed, we brought in the new soffit and fascias. They were carefully cut to size, installed, and finished with a trim.
Installing aluminum and vinyl boxing around exposed wood
To expand the lifespan of exposed wood, our experts suggested an approach that is time and money-efficient and therefore gaining popularity among homeowners. Instead of replacing old wooden trim, we wrapped them in aluminum boxing. In some places, we used vinyl boxing, to better match the style of the home. This tactic protects wood from weathering and can significantly expand its lifespan.

Replacing gutters and finishing touches
When the soffit and fascias were all in place, and wood casings were installed, it was time to add back the gutters. Or rather, install new ones in the same style as the rest of the exterior. Gutters are an important aspect when it comes to waterproofing your home. It helps guide water away from your home and its foundation. For that reason, the homeowner agreed that new gutters would be the best solution for this house long-term.
Our team is qualified to clean, repair, replace and install gutters. For this project, we replaced the old gutters with new ones, but you can learn more about each process via the button below.
